Chungbuk Province Secures $7.27 Million in Export Consultations at Dubai’s Premier Beauty Expo
Chungcheongbuk-do Province announced on the 11th that eight local companies participated in the 'Beautyworld Middle East' held in Dubai, UAE, resulting in 282 buyer consultations worth $7.27 million and 36 export agreements totaling $320,000.
Beautyworld Middle East is the largest professional beauty trade fair in the Middle East, featuring 1,430 companies from 66 countries worldwide.
In collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Chungbuk Regional Headquarters, Chungbuk Province set up a joint pavilion in the international hall to support aggressive overseas marketing for the eight participating firms.
Among the participants, DoDream, showcasing basic cosmetics containing golden silkworm ingredients, signed an export MOU worth $500,000 on-site with an Iranian buyer.
Other notable achievements included Age Care Korea, which agreed to a $100,000 annual contract for thread lifting products with a Pakistani buyer; Myrrhzone Molyac Institute (Biorootics Co., Ltd.), which secured a $50,000 deal for Myrrh toothpaste with a Saudi Arabian buyer; and B&D Living Health, which reached an agreement to export $300,000 worth of detergent products to a Dubai-based buyer.
Hwang Hyang-mi, head of the International Trade Division of Chungbuk Province, stated, "We organized this participation in the Dubai Beauty Expo to help local exporters overcome the challenges posed by COVID-19 lockdowns in China and expand their global reach. Participating companies had five times more buyer meetings compared to online consultations, leading to high expectations for future results."
