'Kareube' Virtuous Cycle Farming Method Gains Spotlight in Cheorwon Rice Fields

(CEO Ji-an Kim / formerly Myrrhzone Molyac Institute), a specialized firm in myrrh fermentation research, announced that its independently developed, eco-friendly patented antimicrobial fertilizer, 'Kareube,' is garnering significant attention from local farmers for its remarkable results in the rice fields of Cheorwon, Gangwon-do.
'Kareube' is an antimicrobial patented microbial fertilizer developed by Dr. Jin-woo Kim, Director of Biorootics. It is formulated with 100% natural substances, combining the patented MHS-90 (a fermented myrrh complex extract; Patent No. 10-1710673) with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, a beneficial plant bacterium.
Sang-eok Park, a veteran farmer who has been cultivating rice in Dongsong-eup, Cheorwon-gun for 50 years, expressed high satisfaction with the increased yield and improved quality after applying the Kareube Virtuous Cycle Farming Method last year. Building on this success, he plans to expand the method to various other crops this year.
"Last year, as a trial, I used the Kareube antimicrobial fertilizer and found that the rice developed much stronger roots. Even in strong winds, the stalks did not collapse, leading to a significant increase in harvest compared to previous years," Park said. "Upon milling, the rice was exceptionally clean without broken grains. Furthermore, the harvest was accelerated by more than 15 days, which greatly boosted my income."
He added, "Producing Grade 1 rice through the Kareube method was a major contribution to my household earnings. This year, I am applying it not only to rice but also to onions, corn, peppers, sesame, and soybeans. I have already planted rice seeds across 100,000 pyeong (approx. 33 hectares) after soaking and sprouting them with Kareube fertilizer."

The Myrrh contained in Kareube is a resin obtained from the bark of the Commiphora myrrha tree, native to the Middle East and Africa. Historically, it was a precious medicinal substance used for wound healing and oral diseases.
